4Monroe Legacy Coffee was born from that truth, along with the kind of grief that quietly reshapes everything you thought you knew. Losing my father and brother, both unexpectedly, left me in a deep realization of the way in which they anchored my life.
Of the 4 Monroes that were in our family, we had lost two. Two hard workers. Two pillars. Two men who believed in family above all else, and who carried that belief every single day without fanfare or complaint, but with steadfast courage and humility. Howard and Brian, were both blue collar in the best sense ā hands in the work, hearts for their loved ones, Legacy grounded in every step they took and quiet acts they performed.
They were men who appreciated the quiet times and slower moments where they could relax and indulge. A good bourbon. A smooth whiskey. Something worth savoring slowly, with the people you love most. That spirit lives in every 4Monroe Legacy blend.
The creation of 4Monroe Legacy Coffee is my way of anchoring their love for a smooth whiskey or bourbon, with my love for a well crafted brewed coffee.
Coffee has always been more than a morning ritual for me. I remember as a young child brewing a cup for my grandmother. Each time I sip a freshly brewed dark roast, Iām instantly taken back to those childhood moments. These are moments of presence, a craft worth caring about, a space full of love and comfort, something as deliberate and layered as the men I am honoring. Medium and dark roasts: complex, bold, warm with depth the way a good pour of bourbon is, never pretending to be anything other than exactly what they are. Just like Howard and Brian (and me too)!
This is my way of continuing to ensure they remain anchored, not just in my life, but in the Monroe legacy for years to come.
In every bag, every cup, every conversation their memory is rekindled. So with that I raise a cup for the two men who always showed up for me and made sure that I knew the importance of keeping family close, unapologetically honoring who you are and understanding your purpose. This is their Legacy, carried forward, one roast at a time.
